A weekend full of love!

Warning...this post contains a lot of pictures :)

As you all know Feb. 14th was Valentines Day and we had such a wonderful day of love! Two days later on Feb. 16th Brett and I went to St. Louis, MO for our 1 year anniversary! I still can't believe how fast this year has gone but at the same time I feel like we have been married for a lot longer (in a good way of course). Here are some pictures...

Valentines Day:

The Valentines we made each other.

We went to JCPenny and bought a new set of linens (I like to say linens because
it makes me feel more grown up instead of saying sheets). We decided for our
anniversary present to each other each year we would buy a new set of linens.

After linen shopping Brett took me to Chucky Cheese to play my
favorite game Ski-ball and to drink soda's. It was so much fun!

These are the prizes we won from Chucky Cheese...
4 pieces of laffy taffy and 5 bags of pop rocks!

We ended the evening with renting "Dan in Real Life" and ordering a heart shaped pizza from Papa Johns. We snuggled on the couch for the rest of night...it was perfect!

Our Anniversary:

On Sunday after church we packed up our car and headed to
St. Louis, MO to stay in a hotel for our anniversary.

We purchased a hotel room off of priceline.com and ended up getting booked at the really nice Hyatt on the Riverfront in St. Louis, MO. Neither Brett or I have ever stayed at a hotel this nice, we almost felt out of place but it was wonderful! Best of all we got it for 40 dollars!

This was the view out or hotel room.

Another view out our window at night.

On Sunday night we planned to go to this theater called Moolah which is a one screen movie theater with leather couches as seating, a bar/lounge, and pool table's. We were so excited to go but it ended up to be a horrible decision. We were so excited about the couches and just the idea of the whole movie theater we didn't really look into the movie that would be playing. The movie was "He's just not that into you". We knew it was PG-13 and a chick-flick but other than that we knew nothing about the movie. That turned out to be a disaster of a movie...it was rated PG-13 and not R because there were no "sex sceens" and the language was not horrible, although we realized quickly that they do not rate movies based upon the moral values the movie holds. We were disgusted by the horrible morals this movie displayed. We ended up staying for probably less than half of the movie and then walked out. We were very disapointed to say the least and would not reccomend this movie to anyone.

The next day we got up and walked out to the Arch, took a
bunch of pictures, and looked through the museum.

Brett at the Arch.

We tried to find either cheap or free things to do in St. Louis...the Brewery gave out free tours so we thought what the heck lets do it. We checked out the days and times and so decided to go on Monday afternoon, unfortunately it just so happened that this particular Monday for whatever reason they were not giving tours...on to the next plan...

We planned on eating one nice meal using the money my Grandparents sent us for our anniversary (thanks G & G). We picked the Melting Pot as our nice/fancy dinner and it was excellent. The only problem...it didn't open until 5:00pm so since the Brewery was closed we ended up down by the Melting Pot quite a bit earlier than planned. We walked up and down the streets going into unique little shops. My back could only take so much walking though so we ended up going to a Starbucks so I could rest my back until we went to the Melting Pot. If you have never been to a Melting Pot before I would strongly suggest it, this was the highlight of our weekend. It's pretty expensive if you do the whole thing but we just did the cheese fondue and the chocolate dessert fondue, both were excellent!
