he leaves us no choice...

If I were to time myself I would guess it would take me 15 seconds or so to climb out of my bed. Josiah on the other hand can do it in 3 seconds flat and that is out of a bed with rails (his crib). Not only can the little wild child climb out of his crib but he can climb into it too...both VERY FAST!

Well, it seems as though he leaves us no choice, we have to move him into a big boy bed. I have been dreading this day for a long time as I so much enjoyed the fact that when Josiah was in his crib he was "stuck" there. Through the many tantrums and time-outs we go through in a day I have taken to a deep liking of this place with four see-through walls we call a crib. It gives me a chance to regain my composure and for a few short min. pretend like I don't hear yelling. Also, since Josiah likes to get up with the roosters (and for all of you who like to make fun at the fact that we live on a farm, no we don't have any roosters), I loved that he couldn't get out of bed until we got him out at a somewhat reasonable hour. Don't get me wrong, I love the boy to pieces but just like any other stay-at-home mother out there I need a break every now and then.

So as one last resort, I will ask all parents out there to give me their last bit of advice for this transition. Wed. will be the day we move him into his big boy bed as we will be on a family vacation starting tomorrow.

Good luck tomorrow Tanna! I still don't have any good advice since Ryan hasn't jumped out yet (it's only been a week though!), but I'll be praying for a good transition for your family.

I am going through the same thing with Ashton right now! He decided yesterday that he was going to climb out of his bed on his own. Now its time to adjust. I will call you and we can talk :) He is my 4th but every child is different.
